A Case of Intestinal Malrotation with Midgut Volvulus

Abstract

|
Intestinal malrotation is a product of a well defined aberrant volvulus may be ctastrophic, an understanding of anatomy, diagnostic criteria and appropriate therapy for this putative emergency illness is imperative.
Preoperative sonographic assessment is a useful diagnostic tool recerntly. Evaluation of the abnormal position of mesenteric vessel and whirlpool' sign is an important adjunct in the examination of infants with midgut volvulus.
We persented a case of intestinal malrotation with midgut wolvulus with brief review of the related literature.
